Bug: Google Pixel 6 series screen has black spots and keeps getting bigger

Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are Google’s flagship mobile phones currently on sale. However, the continuous problems of these two mobile phones have greatly affected the user experience. Recently, some Pixel 6 series users have reported that black dots appear on the phone screen.

One of the Pixel 6 Pro users, “Beau Youin,” said a black dot appeared on the phone’s screen and seemed to keep getting bigger. However, the phone has not been dropped or immersed in water, which is very worrying.

It is reported that some of these black dots appear around the front camera, and some appear in the upper right corner of the phone. Some users believe that this is a dead pixel on the screen, but it is unclear whether the problem is a hardware fault or a software-related one.

It’s worth mentioning that a black spot on one of the users’ Google Pixel 6 disappeared automatically after installing the March security update, which is rare. Google hasn’t publicly acknowledged the problem, so it’s not sure how common the problem really is.

Google showed the Pixel 7 series at the 2022 I/O conference, which is expected to be launched in the next few months. The above problems are bound to have an impact on people’s purchase intentions for the Pixel 7. Google needs to prove that its products can compete with the likes of Samsung and Apple.
