iOS 15.6: Release Candidate is here

Users with a beta profile are currently being offered the release candidate for iOS 15.6. iPadOS is also available as version 15.6 RC. However, many of our readers are probably already testing the “completely new” systems that will be coming to Apple devices in the fall. The RC is currently pitch dark with new features, instead, the focus is on bug fixes and stability:

iOS 15.6 includes improvements, bug fixes and security updates.

  • The TV app adds the option to restart and pause, rewind or fast forward an already running live sports game.

  • Resolves an issue that may cause braille devices to become slower or unresponsive when in Mail navigates through text
  • Fixes an issue in Safari where a tab may return to a previous page

If contrary to expectations, there is something new, we will let you know here. If you find something, please leave a comment. By the way: If you have other devices: There are release candidates there too, including macOS 12.5.
