Windows 11 latest patch has a new bug, .NET 3.5 crashes again

Users who follow the Win11 update log may often have this question: “Is Microsoft’s .NET not fixed on Win11?” Today, Microsoft released the KB5015814 update for Win11 as scheduled. While fixing a bug, it also caused the crash of .NET.

In this update, Microsoft addresses an issue where redirecting PowerShell commands would cause the script log to not contain the output of any commands. In addition, this update includes quality improvements to the servicing stack to ensure it is more reliable so that devices accept and install updates more smoothly.

But at the same time, some .NET Framework 3.5 may have problems or fail to open after an update. As with previous .NET 3.5 issues, users can mitigate this issue by restarting .NET Framework 3.5 and Windows Communication Foundation in Windows Features.

But as mentioned at the beginning of the article, as Microsoft’s own open-source component, .NET Framework 3.5 has had problems in Win11 more than once, causing the software to crash and become unusable. Although Microsoft will fix each time a problem occurs, until now, Microsoft has not clearly informed users why there are so many problems with .NET 3.5.
