In a few days, you can officially pre-order the Google Pixel 6a and the first buyers will again receive free headphones. It is now the standard deal for new smartphones and compensates a little for pre-orders for the generally increased prices for new smartphones.
Google is now also including free headphones “in the package” with new Pixel cell phones. For the first time, the Pixel 6a even has headphones from its own portfolio and this time there are probably no plans to work with Bose.

So far, Google has been reluctant to reveal this planned deal itself. But you can already find some hints online. At MediaMarkt, for example, there is a magazine for customers and the planned campaign was revealed there a few days ago. “Google Pixel Buds A-Series: Pre-orderers get free wireless headphones,” reads a subheading.
“If you pre-order Pixel 6a, you get Pixel Buds A-Series for free. The wireless headphones are characterized by rich and clear sound. In noisy environments, the built-in beamforming microphones ensure that your conversation partner always understands you well and clearly.”
The Google Pixel 6a costs 459 euros (RRP) and you currently have to pay around 80 euros for the Pixel Buds A-Series. So getting this for free with your smartphone is a really good deal. I expect the offer between 21st and 27th July. The Pixel 6a will probably be delivered to the first customers on July 28th.
In recent years, Google has always worked with Bose, even though they had their own headphones on offer. That seems to be changing now. If you buy the Pixel 6a from other retailers, you will certainly only be able to order the headphones free of charge from Google with proof of purchase later.
