Diablo Immortal slowed, but did not stop, the decline in mobile revenues in the US in June 2022

According to data collected by the mobile market analysis company Sensor Tower, only Diablo Immortal managed to curb the decline of the US mobile market in June 2022, as reported by NPD’s Matt Piscatella.

The minus sign of overall revenues compared to 2021 was double-digit, reaching -10.7%. Not like the -12.6% in May 2022 compared to May 2021, but still a very marked decline. Driving the decline was in particular Google Play, Google’s digital store for Android systems.

The Apple App Store, on its own, saw a growth of only 0.16%, but still, a growth, which in such a framework is still effective. This is the first positive figure since February 2022.

As we said, the launch that most helped to curb the bleeding was that of Diablo Immortal, which immediately entered the top 10 of both stores. The ten most revenue-generating games in June 2022 were: Candy Crush Saga, Roblox, Pokémon GO, Coin Master, Evony: The King’s Return, Royal Match, Diablo Immortal, Bingo Blitz, State of Survival: Zombie War and Clash of Clans. As you can see, they are mostly long-running titles.
