God of War: Ragnarok, possible plot spoilers revealed by an artbook

As Dexerto reports, some European retailers are offering a God of War: Ragnarok mini-artbook as a pre-order bonus, with the cover appearing to include potential spoilers about the new Kratos and Atreus epic. Find the offending image a few paragraphs below, but we warn you: do not proceed further with the reading if you do not want to ruin any surprises.

Yesterday Sony kicked off pre-orders for the retail and digital editions of God of War: Ragnarok for PS5 and PS4, including the Collector’s Edition and the Jotnar Edition, which was snapped up in minutes.

As a pre-order bonus, some online retailers also include an official mini-artbook of the game, with a cover that may have revealed important plot details. The first report came from Redditor omekomar, who spotted the artbook among the bonuses offered by gameS, a Serbian online store.

As we can see, the cover is represented by artwork that immortalizes a fierce battle. In the lower-left corner, you can see Sindri, who apparently decided to get his hands dirty despite his germophobia.

The most interesting detail, however, is represented by the man behind the dwarf, characterized by a long beard, two horns, and apparently a golden eye. According to some theories, it is Mimir, who appeared in God of War: Ragnarok will get a complete body. It is also possible to notice the presence of some dragons, a detail that according to some indicates that the scene immortalized is a battle in Asgard in the middle of Ragnarok.

As Dexerto reports, at the moment the mini-artbook of God of War: Ragnarok is only available for certain European retailers (we checked and in Italy no shop offers it, but if you spot it please let us know in the comments). It is also noted that the one made by Dark Horse included in the Digital Deluxe Edition has a different cover, so the one shown above may not be definitive.

Before leaving, we remind you that God of War: Ragnarok will be available for PS5 and PS4 starting from November 9, 2022. With the opening of pre-orders, details on the graphics modes available for Sony’s flagship console also arrived.
