Recently, Nintendo’s official support account shared a tip for using the Switch, saying that it is recommended that players use the special charging cable for the Switch when charging the Switch, and it is not recommended to use the charging cable for other devices.
Nintendo states, “When charging the Nintendo Switch, forcibly plugging in a non-Nintendo Switch-specific charging cable, such as a smartphone charging cable, may damage the charging cable or the Switch’s USB port. Also, if you have trouble plugging it in, please check Is it the correct cable.”
Regarding the charging issue, Nintendo also previously stated that the Switch cannot be left unchanged for a long time, at least once every 6 months, otherwise, it may not be able to charge.
