Pixel launcher brings Play Store search on Android 13 and Google Survey

Pixel Launcher brings a big update recently for Android 13 which also resolved the query related to the Play Store search. On other hand, Google continuously surveys the ability of the Pixel phone. In Android 13, the company provides a search bar at the bottom of the Pixel’s home screen and one display at top of the app drawer.

From both, you can search for web, applications, app shortcuts, and contacts. In case that search didn’t work that time Pixel Launcher enables a quick search and open some app like YouTube, Maps, and the Play Store. Now Android 13 is in its Beta phase because of it some features are still in the testing phase till the consumer launch.

Some tests are inline Play Store search results. If an app is not installed on your device, then after searching results from Play Store show a note which consists of the rating and developer name. Sometimes several apps are shown in the listing when directly opening it. This feature of the Play store is not available on every Android 13 Beta device for example it is on Pixel 6a and 6 Pro, but not 4a.

One update also is that the aforementioned 6a is not able to People search (contact + conversations). All these features come along with a stable version of Android 13. Along with this update, Google continuously asks for user experience to make the device better.

Google Survey questions with this Play Store search:

  • Manage phone settings
  • Browse content on an app
  • Contact Information
  • Content on the web
  • Using an app or contacting others
  • App not installed on my phone

The second question is quite interesting, and any issue arises when you search for an app or content in the search box over the web. For example, a query related to the first name when you search for contact names from a device or a famous personality.
