Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro received Magic Eraser Tool ‘Camouflage’

At the end of the previous month, Google stated that the company roll out the Magic Eraser tool ‘Camouflage’ for its beloved Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro but this did not happen and Google took a few more days to launch this tool. Let us tell you that we are talking about the tool that was launched with the Pixel 6a which we can use through Google Photos.

It is, in essence, a solution designed for the case in which users do not want to completely remove some elements from a shot but only change the colors of some objects, so as to make them stand out less and integrate them better with the other elements of the scene.

How To Work Camouflage

If you try this new Magic Eraser feature, simply open the Google Photos app and then select the option to edit the image and go to the “Tools” tab: after starting the Magic Eraser, you will notice a new “Camouflage” tab next to the “Delete” already exists.

In practice, if an object in the image distracts the attention of the viewer or ruins the scene, it is possible to decide whether to remove it and “camouflage” it, changing its color and integrating it better with the other elements present in the shot. In the following screenshots an example of how the dark blue USB Type-C cable in the upper right corner is “transformed” to brown:

At this point the Camouflage mode is actually available to all owners of Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6a globally.
