Google brings an update for Wear OS every year
The company continuously works on new features of Wear OS due to this they bring bigger updates every year. It just has the same updates for smartphones. These updates are only for the Wear OS not for Android.

But Wear OS still has a little more room for improvement when it comes to developing the chips and software than Apple does.
