Tesla issued safety recall announcement for the affected 30,000 Model X vehicles

As per the fresh report, Elon Musk’s Tesla has now circulated a new issue with a “safety recall” announcement for the affected 30,000 Model X vehicles. This step is to be further implemented by OTA update repairs. As per the announcement given by NHTSA.

On certain 2021-2023 Model X vehicles, Restraint Control Module (RCM) calibration may cause the front passenger air bag to inadvertently deploy during certain low-speed crash events. When a 3- or 6-year-old front passenger is not wearing a seat belt or is seated incorrectly, this may result in a violation of FMVSS 208, clauses 21.4 and 23.4.

According to the recall notice, Tesla began pushing an over-the-air software update earlier this week to address the issue:

Remedial OTA firmware update ensures front passenger airbag compliance with FMVSS 208 Sections 21.4 and 23.4 without firmware remediation in low-speed crashes where a 3 or 6-year-old front passenger is not wearing a seatbelt and is incorrectly positioned Measures against release do not ensure compliance.
