The latest news for the Wear OS, Android app, Google Photos and Google TV

Wear OS

Google introduced the Sunrise/Sunset tile for the Wear OS Weather app which complements the system watch face complication. Google also introduced a tile to Contacts alongside the Weather app that can show profile images of up to five people and features a shortcut to open the full Google Contacts app.

Google has also made some new changes to Google Keep in Wear OS and has introduced a new app for Wear OS called Adidas Running App.

Adidas Running App: Just say “Hey Google, start a run with Adidas Running” and the app will open and start tracking your workout, noting your speed, distance and heart rate via the built-in sensor on your smartwatch.

Reading Mode App

Google today introduced the Reading Mode App for Android. Reading Mode App is designed for and people with low vision, blindness and dyslexia, Reading mode helps improve your screen reading experience with a focus on customizable contrast, text size, text-to-speech, page clutter, and font types. Once downloaded, the app integrates into your quick settings and can be easily accessed across apps and web pages.

Google Photos

After the Wear OS and new Android Apps, Google also launched an easy way to create delightful holiday card collages in Google Photos. Well, Gboard’s emoji kitchen is flooding with winter combinations.

Google TV

Today, Google released a new innovation for the Wear OS apps, introduced a new Android app and made some changes in Google Photos. Now, the Google TV app gets redesigned the TV remote, the ability to cast from multiple services. Use the Google TV1 app to browse hundreds of thousands of titles2 from your favorite streaming services and cast them to your TV3 with a single tap.
