As we all know, earlier Nothing Phone 1 have been received Nothing OS 1.5.1 and v1.1.8 updates. These new updates include the Nothing X app will now be available in Nothing OS and some bug fixes. Nothing phone 1 Quality Issue
A user on Reddit said: I purchased my phone on 16 Jan 2023, at that time I didn’t see any dust particles inside the panel but now I can see dust inside the panel. I went to the service center twice each time they made me wait for 3-4 hrs, at first they tried to clean my phone but were unable to do that after that they told me that they have mailed to brand regarding replacement and then handed my phone back after that 2 days a person called me from Central team and ask me to visit service center again and the same thing happened again after they were unable to clean my phone they handed over my phone back and they told me that again they have mailed to brand but didn’t get any confirmation yet. Trying to get with the team on Twitter by DM at first they were responding but now they stopped reading my messages and tweets. I can see that team is responding to others’ tweets.
Update error 20 (1.1.7 EEA hotfix )
A user on Reddit said: I have Update error 20 (1.1.7 EE hotfix), it seems my system file got corrupted. A lot of files/folders .in the root have the date 1970.01.01.
Battery Issue:
Some Nothing Phone (1) users facing battery issues. Some users shared their feedback and said Surprised how Nothing Phone (1) would last more than 6 hours from 56% and 5-6 hours from 100%.
Nothing Phone (1) Face Unlock Issue
The Nothing Phone (1) users again facing face unlock issues. They said Nothing Phone (1) face unlock is not working properly, nearly 5 in 10 faces unlock attempts say not recognized.
Bad touch experience, worse with tempered
A user on Reddit said: I bought a used Nothing Phone (1), It had a pre-applied good quality tempered glass with oleophobic coating. I noticed that light touches did not register, I removed the glass and the touch sensitivity increased. But still, its touch sensitivity was worse than cheap phones. I am on the latest stable update and did not try the previous updates or the beta one. One of the users has a similar experience, and he said that he did not notice the behavior on 1.1.4 and the previous.
100$ Chinese phones with tempered glass have better sensitivity than this with no glass on. Many major brands have a feature called increased sensitivity, glove mode, etc. So I guess this can be controlled by drivers.
