Samsung M12 may come with the iPhone 15 series, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 OLED display to feature

The most recent report suggests that the upcoming iPhone 15 will use the same material set as the Samsung M12. Samsung uses material sets for the OLED panels it uses in iPhones and Samsung smartphones. A new one is typically added to the most recent smartphones every year.

The new iPhone 15, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Ultra are all expected to be released later this year. This upcoming Apple will come during its usual launch window. The iPhone 15 Plus will have a larger battery than the standard model, which is expected to arrive in a 6.7-inch size.

The OLED materials used in smartphones by panel manufacturers are referred to as the “OLED material set.” A light-emitting layer and a common layer, such as the dopant (light-emitting body), host (light-emitting layer), and prime (auxiliary layer) of individual red, green, and blue pixels, make up the OLED material set.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, both foldable phones from Samsung Electronics, are expected to use the same M12 material set as the Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 from last year. Both of these phones are scheduled for release in the second half of this year. The Elec report affirmed that the Samsung Show is creating M14, a material set for Apple. The iPhone 16 series is likely to receive this set.
