Pixel At a Glance won’t open app, Google Tasks auto-migrating Assistant reminders

Recently, Google began to enable users to migrate away from Assistant Reminders to Google Tasks. Currently, for Workspace users the Google Tasks auto-migrating is started, and for personal accounts, it will come soon. This Google Tasks migrating feature is now available for Workspace users.

For using this users need to go to asssistant.com/reminders/move or select any Calendar event and tap “Turn my reminders into tasks now.” After that, Google Assistant will prompt that move after creating an old-style reminder.

To use this feature better Google Workspace admins an advised, to verify that the Tasks service is ON for your organization. Any Reminders data will not be migrated if the Tasks services are OFF. In the coming weeks, Google will bring the Reminders data deletion.

Whenever users need to export their Assistant and the Calendar Reminders then they use Google Takeout. With the change in the Search and Assistant users settings, you can manage the tasks after the migration.

In the coming, there several update comes like free accounts allowing to migrate automatically. After the voluntary switch went live, some Pixel users think that how Google Tasks will show in At a Glance, and when users do tapping it won’t work on the Android app. We wish, in the coming weeks, this will resolve.
