Galaxy A71 5G receives June 2023 security update

Samsung has recently rolled out the June 2023 security update for its Galaxy A71 5G smartphone. This update follows the release of the same security patch for other high-end models within the Galaxy A series, including the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A73. Currently, the update is being deployed in Asia, with other regions expected to gain access to it in the near future.

The latest software update, identified as firmware version A716BXXU8FWE1, is now available for the Galaxy A71 5G in the UAE. This update primarily focuses on enhancing security measures by addressing over 60 security vulnerabilities that have been identified across various Galaxy phones and tablets. Notably, no additional features have been introduced as part of this update for the Galaxy A71 5G.

To install the June 2023 security update on your Galaxy A71 5G in the UAE, you can follow these steps. First, navigate to “Settings” on your device, then select “Software Update.” From there, tap on “Download and Install” to initiate the update process. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can manually flash the firmware using a Windows PC and the Odin tool. In this case, it is necessary to obtain the most recent firmware file from our firmware database.

The Galaxy A71 5G was initially launched by Samsung in the first half of 2020, running on Android 10. It received subsequent updates, including Android 11 in early 2021 and Android 12 in late 2021. However, the latest major Android OS update, Android 13, was delivered in late 2022, marking the end of the Android OS update cycle for the Galaxy A71 5G.
