OnePlus, a renowned smartphone manufacturer, is poised to enter the foldable smartphone market with its inaugural offering. The company officially announced in March 2023 that the device is slated for release in the third quarter of the same year. Recently, Smartprix unveiled exclusive render images of the OnePlus V Fold, granting us a glimpse of its anticipated design.
The showcased images originate from a prototype in the testing phase, which typically closely resembles the final product. While minor adjustments may occur, the overall design is expected to mirror what consumers will eventually experience.
Distinguished by a synthetic leather back panel, the OnePlus V Fold exudes an air of sophistication while providing an ergonomically pleasing grip. Its rear side will boast a triple camera setup, including the prestigious Hasselblad branding. Notably, this marks OnePlus’ first utilization of a periscope lens in this configuration.
Recognizing the popularity of the Alert slider among OnePlus enthusiasts, the company has chosen to incorporate it into the OnePlus V Fold. Furthermore, seamlessly integrated into the power button is a fingerprint sensor, optimizing convenience and security.
On the front cover display, a strategically positioned selfie camera captures the user’s attention. Upon unfolding the device, an additional selfie camera is found in the left corner, ensuring comprehensive photography capabilities. The hinge mechanism exhibits elements inspired by the OPPO Find N2 and Samsung Galaxy Z foldable devices.
Anticipated specifications of the OnePlus V Fold indicate it will stand as a flagship smartphone offering. Reportedly, it will house the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chipset and showcase a 2K 120Hz AMOLED (LTPO) display, catering to users’ desires for an immersive visual experience.
The rear camera setup is rumored to feature a 50 MP main camera (Sony IMX 890), accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle lens and a periscope lens. As for the front camera, a 32 MP sensor (OV32C) is expected to deliver exceptional selfie capabilities. Additionally, the OnePlus V Fold will be equipped with a substantial 4,800mAh battery, bolstered by 100W SuperVOOC charging technology.
