July 13/2023: The Galaxy S23 series grabbed the July 2023 security patch update in India with the build number AWF7.

July 10/2023: The Galaxy S23 series grabbed the July 2023 security patch update in Europe with the build number S91xBXXS3AWF7.

July 05/2023: Now the unlocked variants of the Galaxy S23 series grabbed the July 2023 security patch update in the US with the build number S91xU1UES1AWFD and the update is currently rolling out in the US on almost all major carrier networks.

July 03/2023: Samsung has demonstrated an accelerated release of this month’s security update, a departure from the previous month. Merely three days into July, the Galaxy S23 series in the United States has already been bestowed with the July 2023 security update. It is anticipated that other markets will witness the arrival of this update within the next few days.

The July 2023 security update has commenced rolling out for carrier-locked models of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. With the firmware version S91xUSQS1AWFD and a file size of approximately 425MB, this update is currently accessible on the T-Mobile network in the US. Based on the firmware version and its dimensions, it appears to be solely a security-focused update, devoid of additional features or performance enhancements.

At present, Samsung has not disclosed the specific security flaws and vulnerabilities addressed in the July 2023 security update. It is anticipated that the South Korean company will publish its security bulletin for July 2023 in the upcoming days. Consequently, the unlocked units within the Galaxy S23 series have not yet received the security update for July 2023.
