Google Maps for Android Auto has received an updated interface, enhancing user accessibility and improving the overall user experience.
In this recent update, Google Maps has undergone some structural changes to optimize the driver’s interaction with the application. A reader, who provided valuable feedback, shared that the menu structure has been slightly altered, making it easier for drivers to access essential features.
The update also introduces a common sidebar on the left edge of the screen, where crucial functionalities such as zoom, compass, sound settings, and the Maps app settings button are now conveniently located. This improvement streamlines the user interface compared to previous versions, where the keys were scattered across the screen.
The implementation of the new design will first undergo testing and will be made available to a limited number of users. The updated version can currently be found in Android Auto 9.9, with version 10.0 already accessible for users.
