Nothing, a leading technology company, has officially launched Android 14 Beta 3 for its Phone (1) model. This release is part of the second phase of the Developer Preview program and is now accessible to all Phone (1) users.
The Android 14 Beta 3 brings a host of exciting new features and enhancements, including an assortment of updated pre-installed applications such as the Nothing launcher, Weather app, and Recorder. However, Nothing has been forthcoming about certain known issues that come with the beta update. These issues include the inability to register fingerprints, the unavailability of face unlock functionality, and the non-accessibility of glyph features. Furthermore, users may encounter limitations regarding battery sharing, portrait mode, and slow-motion capabilities within the camera app. Additionally, pre-installed applications, such as Nothing Weather and Nothing X, will not be available in this beta release, nor will the TV connection screencast feature be accessible.
To address these concerns, Nothing has disclosed plans to introduce the next iteration of its UI, Nothing OS 2.0, which is slated for release by the end of August. This upcoming update is expected to rectify the aforementioned issues, ensuring a more seamless and robust user experience.
