Reportedly, it is confirmed that Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics will double the proportion of LG Display products in their LCD TV panel purchases in 2024.
LG Display is also looking to increase LCD TV panel production at its factory in Guangzhou, China from 8 million units this year to 15 million units next year.
As per the report from Omdia, LG Display’s share of Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics’ liquid crystal display (LCD) TV panel purchase plans is expected to increase from 8% this year to 16% next year.
The South Korean tech giant Samsung and LG Electronics are expected to reorganize their LCD TV panel supply chain in 2024 and increase the proportion of Korean, Taiwanese, and Japanese companies while lowering the proportion of Chinese panel companies.
