Apple Music classical music app now available on CarPlay

Apple Music’s classical music application is now getting more upgrades. The app is now receiving the update and its now officially added CarPlay support, allowing users to enjoy a large amount of classical music through the in-car infotainment system while driving.

Apple Music Classical will be launched in March 2023, providing more than 5 million classical music tracks to all Apple Music subscribers at no additional cost. A team of musicologists from Apple spent more than seven years processing basic metadata, supporting fully optimized search and browsing functions with 50 million data points. This app contains more than 120,000 works by more than 20,000 composers, including more than 400,000 movements, providing excellent sound quality, with thousands of albums supporting an immersive spatial audio experience.

The latest version of Apple Music Classical (1.2) is now available on the App Store, and the change log only mentions “stability and performance improvements.”

It is worth mentioning that Apple Music Classical will launch a localized version in mainland China on January 24. Users can already pre-order the App.
