Nokia and Samsung sign a video patent license agreement

According to the GSMArena, Nokia and Samsung have signed a patent license agreement for video standards. According to the agreement, Samsung will pay Nokia royalty for video patents. It is worth mentioning that this patent is owned by Nokia and has nothing to do with HMD Global.

Nokia has won multiple awards for the video patent, including four “Technology and Engineering Emmy Awards. ” In the past 20 years, Nokia has invested more than 129 billion euros in research and development and has accumulated more than 20,000 patents (of which more than 3,500 are 5G related).
