Microsoft introduces Defender threat and vulnerability management features to Linux

Microsoft brought its own security software Defender to macOS in 2019. Microsoft recently announced that Defender’s threat and vulnerability management (TVM) feature has been launched on Linux and macOS platforms.

Microsoft said that TVM allows users to review recently discovered vulnerabilities in applications and potential system misconfigurations, and remediate any affected managed and unmanaged devices.

Only the public preview version is currently online, supporting macOS, RHEL, CentOS and Ubuntu systems, and Oracle Linux, SUSE and Debian will be added soon. In addition, Microsoft also plans to introduce TVM to Android and iOS platforms this summer.
