According to the reports, Apple will use iMessage as the center of next week’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) promotional materials, which suggests that the company’s popular instant messaging service may undergo a major upgrade. iMessage seems to be the central theme of this year’s WWDC marketing.
For example, the placeholders of the WWDC live broadcast on YouTube include the full-screen laser effects of iMessage bubbles, Tapback and iMessage. Similarly, the topic logo for this year’s WWDC on Twitter is a bubble that iMessage likes Tapback.

iMessage stickers and official costumes and pins of this year’s WWDC also include iMessage bubbles, Tapback responses and emoji emoticons. Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman previously reported that iOS 15 will improve iMessage, which seems to reflect the theme in Apple’s promotional materials. Specifically, Gurman disclosed that there will be new automatic replies, status, and notification options:
“There is also an option to set an automatic reply based on the status of the message. This will be an improvement to the current automatic reply feature. At present, the automatic reply feature can only be used while driving.
