Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 key specifications confirmed by Geekbench

With the leak of the Geekbench results, the key configuration of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 folding screen smartphone has finally been confirmed. Many people have speculated whether Samsung will equip this flagship device with an upgraded version of Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset, but now we find that it uses the normal version of Snapdragon 888 SoC.

Given that Snapdragon 888+ has higher requirements for the heat dissipation performance of the device, we also understand Samsung’s decision. In terms of screen, Galaxy Z Fold 3 uses a 6.23-inch external screen + a 7.55-inch internal screen. For reference, Galaxy Z Fold 2 uses a 6.2-inch external screen + 7.5~7.6-inch internal screen (taking into account the rounded corners).

In terms of storage, the Geekbench 5 list shows that this SM-F926U device uses 12GB RAM, optionally with 256/512GB ROM. However, there are also reports that the 512GB version will be equipped with 16GB RAM. In terms of taking pictures, it is currently uncertain whether the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will retain the Infinity-O perforated screen for front shots, or switch to a hidden camera under the UPC screen.

The main rear camera may be a Sony IMX555 sensor that supports Dual PDAF (Dual PDAF). The telephoto lens is its own ISOCELL 3M5 sensor that supports 2X zoom and PDAF focus, supplemented by a third ISOCELL 3L6 12MP sensor that supports PDAF focus.

The battery capacity is 4380mAh, supports 25W fast charge, and an optional S Pen stylus. It is expected that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be slightly lighter than the previous generation, and the price will drop further. At present, it has begun mass production and is expected to debut this summer (August).
