OneDrive for Mac users will be available in .pkg format this month

As early as April this year, Microsoft announced that it would soon provide OneDrive users for Apple’s Mac platform in .pkg format. Microsoft said that this format will provide faster updates and better security.

However, earlier Microsoft postponed the update. However, today Microsoft announced that it should start providing the OneDrive user in .pkg format in mid-July and launch it in full before the end of July.

In addition, in June, Microsoft announced that OneDrive for Mac will have several other new features. Some of these new features include native M1 support, known folder movement, improved OneDrive on-demand files, improved Finder experience, and more.

The provision of the .pkg format will mean that the new features mentioned above will also be launched in the near future.
