Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will be equipped with Exynos W920 chip

At the Unpacked conference held next month, in addition to Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung will also launch two smartwatches, Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Citing a report from SamMobile, these two smartwatches are expected to be equipped with the new Exynos W920 chip to provide stronger performance support.

In Samsung watches launched in the past few years, the Exynos 9110 chipset released in 2018 has been used. It was released with the original Galaxy Watch, and the subsequent Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active 2 and Galaxy Watch 3 have been using this chip.

Compared with previous generations, Galaxy Watch 4 is a completely different product. It does not use the Tizen system like other products. This upcoming smartwatch runs on the new Android-based Wear OS developed by Samsung and Google.

Samsung also created a new chipset for the device. Galaxy Watch 4 will be the first Samsung smartwatch to use the Exynos W920 chipset. Compared with Exynos 9110, this CPU has 1.25 times the CPU performance and 8.8 times the smooth graphics performance. It matches with 1.5GB of memory. This is a 1.5 times improvement over the Galaxy Watch 3.
