Twitter Beta now allows users to log in with Google accounts

According to the latest reports, after being discovered in the initial test, the latest Android version of the Twitter beta update now allows users to log in with a connected Google Account. To be honest, the integration of Google accounts with Twitter should have appeared long ago, and the social media platform also provides similar Apple account login services for iOS users.

This means that users can use existing details to log in or create an account, instead of having to fill in basic information such as name and email address, and it also eliminates password requirements. If the user already has a Twitter account with a Google account email address, then they can log in without entering a password-provided that the account is currently logged in on the user’s Android device.

Unfortunately, although it is possible to obtain a new login method by changing the email address of an existing account, there does not seem to be a way to bind an existing account to a Google account. Considering that trying to log in with a Google account without being bound to any Twitter account will initiate the creation of a new, automatically generated handle, so if you want to test connecting to an existing account before using this new option to log in, it is recommended to Proceed with caution.

This feature has now been released in the Twitter beta v9.3.0-beta version. Users who have registered for the preview project can purchase it through the Google Play Store. If you cannot access the Google account login option, you need to log out of your account and go to Settings > Apps> Twitter Beta > Clear storage > Re-launch to try.
