Apple today pushed the iOS/iPadOS 15 developer preview beta 4 update with build number: 19A5307g to iPhone and iPad users. This update is one week after the last release.
What’s New:
Safari update
Apple continued to improve the design of Safari on the iPhone and made some adjustments in iOS 15 to improve usability.
- Share button: The dedicated sharing button for sending articles to others has been moved to the tab bar again, replacing the previous button.
- Reload: A reload button has been added next to the domain name for quick access to the reload page. Apple removed the button in the previous beta and made it a long-press gesture. Users can also access the reload via the Share button.
- Show Bookmarks: When the user long presses the URL bar, the “Show Bookmarks” option will appear, making it easier to access bookmarks.
- Reading Mode: When the reader mode is available on the website, you can click a small icon to directly enter the reading mode. The reader mode can also be accessed through the sharing interface.
MagSafe Battery Pack Support
- iOS 15 beta 4 added support for the MagSafe battery pack. If the user has a new accessory, the accessory will be displayed in the Battery widget and the Settings app.
Lock Screen Camera Icon
- Apple has made very subtle adjustments to the design of the lock screen camera icon, removing the button on the left and increasing the size of the flash and lens ring. The settings icon has also been updated.
Shortcuts
- Shortcuts have added a return-to-home screen operation that can be used for automation.
Notify
- The appearance of the notification icon in the settings application has been updated. Apple has also added a new toggle switch that allows users to disable notifications during screen sharing or screen mirroring.
Share Focus State
- In messaging apps such as iMessage, users can click on the contact’s name and choose whether to share their status with them.
App Store Account Design
- Apple changed to a new layout in the App Store account settings section, each account option has rounded corners and a separate section.
Photo Memory Sharing
- This update also adds an interface for using the shared memory function in photos. If you cannot share Apple Music songs due to copyright and other reasons, you can re-select the songs that are suitable for sharing.
iPadOS 15 Developer Preview Beta 4 update:
- Apple also updated the design of the Safari browser on the iPad to make it closer to the macOS version of Safari.
- Before this Beta version, Safari on the iPad was similar to Safari on iOS, without a dedicated tab bar, but after the update, Apple added a dedicated tab bar activated by default to make it the same layout as in macOS Monterey.
