Microsoft brings Windows clipboard synchronization to all Android phones

Microsoft has announced that SwiftKey will undergo a major update later this year. One of the major features is cloud clipboard integration. In the recent beta version of SwiftKey, Microsoft has enabled support for this feature, which can help users copy and paste text from other Windows devices to another device, such as all Android phones, which was previously Samsung User-exclusive functions.

Simply put, Windows 10 /11 comes with a clipboard manager, which allows users to more easily cut, copy, and pastes the content they need on the device. Using the cloud clipboard, you can view the history of cutting or copying content from other devices, and interested users can enable it through the Win + V keyboard shortcut.

After SwiftKey is updated, you can access the previously copied content on any device through the cloud clipboard. For example, you can copy some text and pictures from documents or web pages on Windows and paste them to an Android phone with SwiftKey installed.

Similarly, you can also copy the text on your mobile device and paste it on your PC. Of course, you need to enable clipboard data synchronization on both Windows 10 and Android. In the current SwiftKey Beta version, you can click Enrich Input >> Clipboard, then select and enable the Sync clipboard history to the cloud switch. Of course, you also need to log in to your Microsoft account.

When finished, open Windows settings: System> Clipboard, and open the following two options:

  • Clipboard history
  • Sharing across devices

It is worth mentioning that the cloud clipboard data has been encrypted and will not be linked to Microsoft account data.
