Lamborghini launched Countach hybrid supercar

According to the latest report, Lamborghini released the Countach hybrid supercar in Monterey on the West Coast of the United States on Friday, the specific model being Countach LPI 800-4. This sports car has a total output power of more than 800 horsepower, has a V12 fuel engine, and an electric motor, using the four-wheel drive, the appearance is very unique.

The sports car uses silver-gray paint, a square design language, based on the classic Countach model launched in the last century, and is very retro. The headlights of the sports car are square-shaped, and the taillights use a hexagonal combination.

In terms of power, the Lamborghini Countach is a mid-mounted four-wheel drive design. The V12 engine outputs 780 horsepower (574kW), and the 48V electric motor provides 34 horsepower. The car only needs 2.8 seconds to accelerate from 100 kilometers, 0-200km/h in only 8.6 seconds, and its top speed is 355km/h.

The hybrid system of the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 sports car is not used for the first time. It has also been used on Sián models before. This kind of hybrid power system uses supercapacitors for energy storage, which has more discharge power than lithium batteries and has three times higher energy density, which is suitable for sports car working conditions.

Officials said that the old Countach was the pioneer of modern supercar design. The wedge-shaped body and bold lines, edges and corners were very impactful in the 1970s and 1980s. Lamborghini CEO said that the new sports car pays tribute to the classics, but at the same time explores new technical routes.

The body of this car is made of carbon fiber, weighing 1595 kg, and the interior is also made of carbon fiber, which is very technological. In terms of interior, this car has a built-in 8.4-inch touch screen, is compatible with Apple CarPlay, and is limited to 112 cars. Lamborghini did not disclose the price of the car, only that it is expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2022.
