Apple iCloud+ custom mail domain now available in beta

At the Apple WWDC in June this year, Apple’s iCloud upgrade was named iCloud+, and the subscription price remained unchanged, bringing a number of features. Recently, the most attractive custom mailbox domain function in iCloud+ has been launched in beta. According to foreign media Applesfera, users who have registered for the Beta program can customize the iCloud email domain name in beta.icloud.com.

As the name implies, the user can change the regular yourname@icloud.com to a custom myname@mydomain.com, and can also invite family users to use the same custom email domain. iCloud+ also brings many privacy features, such as Private Relay, which can transmit data through two different network relays.

The user needs to customize the domain name in the following steps:

  • Open beta.icloud.com.
  • Click iCloud Settings.
  • Click Manage in Custom Email Domain.
  • Choose whether to create a domain name for yourself or for all your family members.
  • After determining the custom domain name, add an existing email to redirect the mailbox.
  • Update everything and complete the domain name settings.
