Samsung SmartThing Find service covered 100 million devices and 230,000 devices are found every day

Less than a year after launch, Samsung announced that the SmartThing Find service has connected more than 100 million nodes. Samsung said that 230,000 devices are found through this service every day, including Galaxy phones, smartwatches, earplugs, S Pen Pro, and keys or wallets with Galaxy SmartTags.

When talking about the rapid growth of the service, Samsung Electronics President and Head of Mobile Communications TM Roh said: We are extremely proud of the rapid development of the SmartThings Find service in less than a year. It helps people all over the world every day. Find hundreds of thousands of misplaced devices. SmartThings Find is another example of how Samsung is continuing to create meaningful new experiences that help people’s lives more convenient and less stressful.

With iPhone services such as Find My on the SmartThings, Find uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technologies to find devices. The main advantage of this method is that they can be found even when the device is offline. In addition to the milestone of covering more than 100 million devices, Samsung also introduced a new feature called SmartThings Find Members, which allows users to add their friends and family to their SmartThings account so they can also find and manage the device.

These groups can consist of a total of 20 people including administrators and can connect 200 devices. Once the invitees join your group, you can grant them permission to view your connected devices.
