Linux Mint 20.3 will be released before Christmas

According to Neowin’s report, Linux Mint project leader Clem Lefebvre recently announced that the next version of Linux Mint version 20.3, will launch three flavors before Christmas-Cinnamon, MATE and Xfce. The code name of the new version is Una, which is only one letter different from the code name of the current version Uma. The project also updated the website to look more modern and easier to use.

In its announcement, the Mint team stated that the upcoming version will have improved themes, for example, the title bar of the application will become larger, allowing larger buttons, making them easier to crawl And move. In addition, they have been given more rounded corners, so they look more pleasant.

Another ongoing visual change is related to the accent color of the Mint-Y theme. Now, these colors may attract your attention, so the latest update removes the accent elements but adds a little hue to Mint-Y gray to better reflect the theme settings you choose. The sliders, checkboxes, radio buttons, and close buttons will continue to be displayed in the color you choose, but the rest of the theme will look more neutral.

The new website design adapts to any device you use, including smartphones. Ads are no longer displayed on the site in an attempt to make it look more professional. However, the project said it noticed a decline in revenue, but this was a sacrifice it was willing to make. The project stated that it hopes that in the long run, income can be obtained through other means without the need to reintroduce advertisements on its homepage.
