Instagram reveals several new features and will also allow you to create desktop posts

For several years it has tried everything just to be able to load posts on Instagram from the desktop, but today the company to forces in Facebook has finally decided to give the possibility to everyone to upload photos and videos (less than a minute) also via the web browser on the desktop.

The function is extremely convenient for those who do not have their smartphone available to upload multimedia content through it, or for those who have just made a small video montage from their computer and can finally upload it directly from their browser.

The company also has a novelty designed for those who love to collaborate in the creation of a new post or video Reels. With Collabs, available immediately, two authors can co-sign a Reels post or video that will appear jointly to the followers of both accounts and will also share the same comments. To take advantage of the new collaborative feature, simply tag the second author and wait for them to accept the invitation.

But that’s not all: Alessandro Paluzzi, data miner who finds new features not yet announced, has discovered that the mobile application of Instagram will allow you to upload videos in the Stories up to 60 seconds long. This is a rather important novelty for the social network which, even today, automatically cuts each video with a duration of more than 30 seconds into several parts.

The ability to create desktop posts on Instagram will be available starting October 21, while the collaboration function should already be available by downloading the latest application update. Finally, we don’t have enough details regarding the availability of videos in Stories longer than 60 seconds.
