More ads/user reminders/recommended content appeared in Microsoft Edge

In addition to integrating Office functions, Microsoft has also introduced advertising/recommendations in the Microsoft Edge browser. Many users reported that more reminders and advertisements appeared during the upgrade to the new version, such as recommending users to use the service of Microsoft Start (previously called MSN feed). As you can see in the screenshot below, Microsoft is experimenting with more ads/recommendations that will appear on the new tab page of the browser.

A pop-up advertisement wrote: Get the latest Microsoft Start application. Just like on your PC, provide personalized and credible news, games, weather and much other information. In addition, Microsoft seems to be using the browser’s new assistance features to gather results from searches you perform and improve its Bing search engine. The ad reads: Help us make search more beneficial to you. Microsoft will collect results from searches you conduct in your browser.

Search results were performed in the browser to improve Microsoft products and services. This data will never be associated with you or your device. Thankfully, you can reject these pop-up ads by clicking the “X” button, but this does not prevent Microsoft from disturbing users with another warning in the future.
