Google said that because the company has indefinitely postponed its plans for employees to return to the office, it will issue additional bonuses to global employees next year. A Google spokesperson stated that the company will issue a one-time cash reward of US$1,600 to all employees of the company in 2022, and third-party outsourced employees and interns working in the company will be included in the bonus.
A Google spokesperson said that this bonus is an additional benefit in addition to the work-at-home allowance for Google employees and the normal bonus, and is intended to provide more support for company employees in responding to the epidemic. The spokesperson did not elaborate on how much Google has reserved for this purpose.
