We already know such as Xiaomi smartphones, Redmi phones and POCO will be updated to Android’s 12, but the list is missing a series of well-known but now obsolete model. I am referring to the super-selling models, such as POCO F1, Redmi Note 5, Redmi S2, but also the recent Redmi Note 8/8T.
All smartphones were released between 2018 and 2019, so the MIUI team will continue to update the Android version Within the range of models. But do not mention how small Mimi A1, dating back to 2017, is now obsolete Android One part of the project.
A project aimed at simplifying the lives of companies like Xiaomi: smartphones with Android stocks will stay updated for longer. Unfortunately, Xiaomi, which uses Android One software, has encountered more model update problems in MIUI.
Android market and understands more clearly which Android brand tends to update Android for longer. Among many companies, Xiaomi deserves it, but it is not the best, especially in low-end smartphones. In this regard, Samsung has done better, but Xiaomi seems to be gradually improving.
Thanks to the modified world, Android 12 becomes a reality on older Xiaomi models
The fact remains that the aforementioned Xiaomi Mi A1, POCO F1, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8T, Redmi Note 5 and Redmi S2 will not be updated to Android 12. Or at least it won’t be officially updated, but we won’t talk about these here today.
On the contrary: if these smartphones already updated to the latest version of the green robot, it is due to the world’s refit since Google released the source code, Android 12 was the introduction of a variety of third-party developers to build. Custom ROM is suitable for many smart mobile phones.
So far, there have been several Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO models that can be upgraded to Android 12, as long as you compromise and modify. As a custom ROM, the update process is certainly not something everyone can do, but most geeks will certainly be happy. If you have listed one of these smartphones, especially those that do not have more software support and may be out of warranty, you can try it yourself.
Remember to install them, you must do so to unlock the bootloader and install a TWRP custom recovery refresh custom ROM. For each smartphone and its ROM, you will find a dedicated thread that contains installation guides, errors, recommendations, etc.
