Snapchat kicks off the new year with new features for its chat. The new features are finding their way into the social network app for both Apple iOS and Android. There are four new features that bring significant innovations to chat: Chat Reply, Bitmoji Reactions, Poll Stickers and Improved Calls.
Snapchat introduces the features as follows:
- Chat Reply: Chat Replies can be used to reply directly to individual messages in an ongoing group chat: hold down a message in the chat and click “Reply” to start a thread.
- Bitmoji Reactions: Bitmoji Reactions are intended for fleeting messages. There are seven reactions to choose from.
- Poll Stickers: Snapchatters can now add emoji-based polls to Snaps and Stories. The surveys are deliberately not anonymous so that answers remain friendly. The new Polls feature is located in the Stickers folder.
- Improved Calls: Snapchat has redesigned the video and audio calling interface. This makes it easier to add Lenses and see who’s on a group call before you join.
