Search giant Google has just launched a new .day domain name system designed to help businesses, charities, organizations or individuals easily connect certain days or events of interest. For example, religious and cultural organizations around the world have used the .day top-level domain name to promote knowledge about Ramadan, Diwali, Easter and other festivals, and some special anniversaries can also be bound to the .day domain name system.
In Google’s official blog, the company mainly mentioned three categories of .day domain applications: business, brand, and community. At present, wedding companies have bound Wedding.day (The Knot), and flower delivery service provider FTD has also linked Valentine’s Day (Valentines.day).
