Sony expands test coverage PS5 to share screenshots/records more easily

It’s now easier to share screenshots with other platforms on the PlayStation 5 console. In the latest solution given by Sony, the pictures and recorded videos captured by the player on the PS5 are automatically uploaded to the PlayStation application, and then the user can save it to the album or share it on other platforms.

The program was tested in Canada and Japan in October last year, and Sony announced on Tuesday that it will begin testing in the United States. To do this, you first need to open the Media Gallery on your PS5, then scroll down to the “Game” menu, click on the “Game Library” icon, and then navigate to the Media Gallery. This is where an “Enable Auto-Upload” option will appear, click to enable.

Photos taken after enabling the feature did not immediately start appearing on the PlayStation mobile app on the iPhone, requiring users to force quit and then reopen to receive a notification. To see them on the app, tap the game library icon on the navigation bar (next to the magnifying glass), then tap “Captures” and you’ll see any screenshots you took after activating the auto-upload feature.

Clips and screenshots are available for 14 days after you create them on PS5, Sony says. For videos, clips with a length of 3 minutes and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 will be uploaded. Trophy moments will not be uploaded.
