After seeing the Chinese launch, the OnePlus 10 Pro is preparing for the Global market with a big doubt, the one between OxygenOS and ColorOS. From a new leak, however, it seems that the answer may be clearer, thus outlining a very specific profile for the debut.
To report the rumor that the new flagship could still rely on the system designed for the Global market was 91Mobiles, who explained, in essence, that on the upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro we will find the OxygenOS 12, which will therefore debut definitively on a smartphone or at least, it will be pre-installed.
To this news, we must add the consequent delay of the unified operating system that OPPO and OnePlus are creating for the international market. In fact, it looks allegedly WaterOS will arrive at a later date. This is probably because it is not yet fully mature to be able to replace an interface as well-established as the OxygenOS, which still finds proselytes to this day.
But there could also be this as a reason for OnePlus’s possible choice. By maintaining this UI, the brand would maintain that sort of loyalty that has built up over the years when OPPO did not totally control it. Now, however, it would be the real online alternative to the same smartphones of the Green Factory.
In short, for those who were afraid that the ColorOS could be a sort of “problem” for the future of OnePlus, at the moment it can really pull a “breath of fresh air” in this regard.
