Elden Ring PS4 version can not be upgraded to PS5, problem is under investigation

Bandai’s official blog released a message tonight. Bandai thanks players for their feedback on Elden Ring. In order to improve the game experience, the official has released an update patch to fix some problems in the PC Steam and PS5 versions.

Bandai said that it is investigating and actively fixing the problem that the PS4 version cannot be upgraded to the PS5 version.

To all faders:

Thank you for your feedback on Ring of Eldon. In order to improve the game experience, an update patch has been released to fix the following issues:

  • The situation where Easy Anti-Cheat fails to start and the game cannot be started. (Steam version)
  • Adjust the time required to read archives. (Steam version)
  • Fixed a situation where the game ended abruptly under certain conditions. (PS5 version)

After the update is complete, the game version will be displayed at the bottom right of the screen as follows:

  • App Ver. 1.02.1
  • Regulation Ver. 1.02.1
