YouTube Music now allows you to share songs with Snapchat Stories

The YouTube Music development team has finally decided to please the many users who have long requested the implementation of the ability to share their favorite songs through Snapchat Stories.

This is a feature on which the team of the Mountain View giant has been working for a long time (the first information dates back to 2020) and which was launched only last December and only for the iOS version.

Apparently, the time has also come for Android Music users to take advantage of this feature and on Reddit, the reports of those who have noticed the implementation of the possibility to share songs through Snapchat Stories are multiplying.

How YouTube Music sharing on Snapchat works

When you open the menu of the tab dedicated to sharing in YouTube Music, users will also see Snapchat among the various options to choose from and, by tapping the relevant button, a Story is generated of the song that is currently playing. The Story in question includes the song name, album cover, artist name, and a link to allow viewers to open the song on YouTube Music.

  • Users have the option to customize the story from the Snapchat editor and send it to their specific friends or share it with everyone.
  • In essence, this is just a small change, but many believe this feature should have been part of the YouTube Music experience from day one.
  • To date, this novelty is limited to Snapchat while those waiting for it to be extended to Instagram Stories will still have to be patient.
