LG closed its mobile phone business last year, and the official promise is to continue to roll out Android 11 operating system updates for supported models and provide Android 12/13 updates for some devices.
According to an announcement made by LG on March 15, the LG Velvet phone has received the Android 12 update in South Korea, and it is unclear if all versions are included.
The Android 12 update for the LG Velvet brings several new features, including a Material You design, wallpaper-based themes, a new privacy dashboard, new widgets, and more.
LG Wing and LG Velvet are mobile phones released in 2020, and LG officially plans to roll out the Android 13 update for the two mobile phones. But officials also said that if there are any major problems with the Android 12 update during testing, LG may abandon plans to release the update.
