Under the Redmi flag, Xiaomi has presented new Android smartphones. Although the new Redmi K50 series is not coming onto the market as such, there will also be devices in this country with different names. That’s why it’s already interesting to know what the new Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 have to offer. Last year, the Redmi K40 was available from us with very similar equipment as the POCO F3.
Camera with optical image stabilization in both Redmi K50 models
In both K50 models, Redmi relies on a 6.67 OLED display from Samsung. Pro does not mean that there is a different display. It is also pleasing that the regular K50 has a 48-megapixel camera with OIS. The K50 Pro has a 100-megapixel camera, also with optical image stabilization. The additional 2 (macro) and 8 megapixels (ultra wide-angle) seem almost out of place.
The rest of the equipment is not surprising. Only MediaTek chips are used, including the new Dimensity 9000 based on 4 nm. The battery of the Redmi K50, which offers a whopping 5,500 mAh, is surprisingly large. There are also dual speakers, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6 and other current smartphone hardware. Most potential buyers will hardly miss anything.
