Fallout TV Series, the cast expands: Ella Purnell is cast

The cast of the TV series on Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout is expanding: according to Variety, Ella Purnell, an English actress who recently stood out in the Yellowjackets series, just renewed for a second season, and in the film Army of the Dead by Zack Snyder. She was also the voice actress of Jinx in Arcane, the animated series dedicated to League of Legends, and of Gwyn in Star Trek Prodigy. The source does not reveal exactly what Purnell’s role is, but it has been revealed that her character will be enterprising and cheerful – with just that hint of danger revealed by an intense and magnetic gaze.

Keeping in mind that the source is wrong very, very, very rarely, we can therefore give at least two cast members confirmed. In addition to Purnell, Walton Goggins, known for Sons of Anarchy, Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, Ant-Man and the Wasp and The Shield has been officially announced: he will be the protagonist (or one of the protagonists, it is not yet perfectly clear).

The material production of the series is expected to begin later this year, and the launch could take place next year. The creators and main people responsible for the project are Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, who got noticed for the creation of Westworld (at least, the beginning was not bad …).

Jonathan is also the brother of Christopher Nolan – that of Inception, the Dark Knight trilogy, Tenet, Interstellar and Memento. In fact, the latter is from a short story by Jonathan, and both were nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. The rest of the creative staff consists of Geneva Robertson-Dworet (writer, Captain Marvel) and Graham Wagner (producer, Silicon Valley).

For the moment, it is unclear how much the series will adhere to Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG series. It is worth remembering that, remaining on the subject of videogame adaptations, Amazon Studios is also working on a series on Mass Effect, the BioWare space saga.
