Larry Major Nelson Hryb of Xbox said this was a bug and has now been removed in response to the XGP lineup intel on the aforementioned tweet. According to Hryb, There are currently no plans to bring Resident Evil 8 to Game Pass.

Just before the release of Resident Evil 8 last year, leaked internal documents revealed that an agreement between Sony and Capcom prevented the latter from releasing the game on competing subscription services such as Xbox Game Pass and Stadia Pro. This particular term should be for a year after the game’s release, but it remains to be seen whether Capcom plans to bring the game to platforms like Game Pass in the near future.

Resident Evil 8 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia and PC.
