Will Overwatch 2 offer a battle pass? Concept images seem to suggest this

While the wait continues for the Overwatch 2 Limited Beta, which will kick off on April 26 exclusively on PC, some concept art has emerged from the network that may have given us some clues about the contents of Blizzard Entertainment’s new hero shooter.

Yesterday April 2, Jayson Kirby, former Blizzard UI Designer, uploaded a series of Overwatch 2 concept art to ArtStation which, seen and considered the source, can be considered official. The images highlight some changes to the menus and a reorganization of the interface, but the detail that has caught everyone’s attention is the presence of the Battle Pass entry on the main screen.

The first Overwatch, despite the focus on cosmetic items, came out at a time when Battle Passes had not yet established themselves, and throughout its history, it has never updated to host one. It is, therefore, possible that Blizzard has decided to integrate this progression system in the next episode of the series, although it is not possible to be sure.

Being a concept art, the company may have limited itself to exploring the possibility during a period of processing without then going all the way, so we prefer to wait for an official announcement for absolute safety. In the same image, among other things, the hero can be seen gaining experience points after an online match, when to date the functionality of the Hero XP is confirmed only for the PvE component.

We’ll see. In the meantime, you can find out about the new Overwatch 2 multiplayer ping system, already confirmed and explained in detail by Blizzard.
